ANYAR probes into reality

Meera Jasmine ANYAR is Lenin Rajendran's next movie. Like always even this time he comes with a storyline, which could make a massive impact. The film focuses on a certain section of people who live in real bad condition.

Born to a middle class Muslim family, Razia (Jyothirmayi) by profession is a television journalist. To break the hectic schedule of work, she goes to Gujrat to attend her friend's wedding. When the wedding ceremony is on, communal violence breaks out in Gujrat. What was a joyous occasion suddenly gets transformed into something very gloomy. Everyone is in a dilemma. The guests are all stuck in the house no one can move out. She gets held for several days.

After getting released from the house, she visits several places in Gujrat and captures the life of the victims. She returns back to her hometown and decides to make a documentary. She also adds the reaction of the people in Kerala to this documentary. She does not stop at that. Jyothirmayi along with her lover Sooraj (Biju Menon) start probing further by touring places. Here they are hounded by certain hartal supporters. They seek refuge in a tribal hamlet and meet an elderly who were once the victims of Gujrat riots.

A twist in the story happens when Razia completes the documentary and the television channel refuses to air it.

Camera is wielded by Madhu Ambat. ONV Kurup, Kavalam Narayana Panicker and MD Rajendran have written the songs for which music is scored by Mohan Sithara and Rajesh Narayan. The film is scheduled to hit theatres in early August.
