The first film of the year 'KALAYANARAMAN' leads the show business in Malayalam today. Barely three days after the release of KALYANARAMAN, Dileep, Kunchako Boban and Navya Nair in the main roles have collected more share than any other film released during this period.

It is a pure entertainer. It tells the story of a smart country boy who is indispensable for the villagers especially in marriage ceremonies. He will be there for arrangements right from the Pendal to the preparation of sumptuous marriage feast. Dileep as KALYANARAMAN with his usual humorous numbers is holding on to the position as the dearest actor of the viewers. 'MEESA MADHAVAN' and 'KUNHIKKOOONAN' the two earlier hits of Dileep have been shifted from its releasing centers and have started showing in interior centers.

'YAATRAKKARUDE SRADHAKKU' by Satyan Anthikkadu is collecting good money and gaining good opinion. The performance of Soundarya is commendable. Sreenivasan's dialogue and Johnson's music are the other attractive factors of this film. This film has entered in to its fourth week in more than 20 centers.

'NANDANAM' by Ranjith could not gain commercial success but has high opinion on its artistic qualities. 'NANDANAM' has established Prithviraj in Malayalam cinema as an actor of wide range. The emotional content and its dramatic appeal have caught the attention of filmmakers.

'VAALKKANNADI' a tearjerker drama of Kalabhavan Money is doing good business all over Kerala. The performance of Money and Gheethu Mohan Das is commendable.

'CHATHURANGAM' the Mohanlal - K Madhu film continues to screen in many urban and semi urban centers.
