The biggest flop of the year is going to be Kaakkakuyil says the trade, with theatre collections being the lowest ever and crowds getting angry and tearing down the seats. The Priyadrashan and Mohanlal combination has failed and the superstar caught in the Narsimhamam syndrome seems to be caught in the larger than life image and only action films seem to be his destiny. This comedy film has been a total washout.

Suresh Gopi’s Randaam Bhaavam is another film, which also is a washout. Gopi's dual role has not satisfied many and it also is expected to be a loser. Suresh Gopi's Meghasandesham, which kicked off to a good start is losing out in many pockets and stopped its run in many centres.

The only film, which is a hit, is Karumaadikuttan of Vinayan- Kalabhavan Mani and its collections are precedent. Next is Thenkasipattanam of Suresh Gopi, which is also drawing full houses. Other B grade films are continuing its run in B centres.
