When it rains, it pours.
Just the case with Salman Khan.

Catch the guy in a good mood and he's fun, sunny and yum like a chocolate cookie! But if Bollywood's famous bod has got up on the wrong side of the bed, be ready to kiss a nightmare. On Thursday evening the gods were with us, as we holed up the star brat for a merry chat on the laugh-riot set to tickle you this Friday, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?

And just so that you know, it rained that evening

How many times have you said, Main Pyar Kiya?
Too many to count

And, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?
(Laughs) Lost count

Do you find the title amusing?
I do. And I am pretty sure that Sohail has picked this title from his son, Nirvan. He constantly tugs at me, screws his nose and says in his nasal voice, "Kyun chachu, kyun..?" I am sure Sohail picked it from there.

Most David Dhawan characters are clones...
Most Hindi films are clones too.

What do you think of his comedies?
I think my best work has happened with David. Our timing is dot-on. He himself is...not a very humorous person but he is very good at creating humor onscreen. (laughs uproariously)

Would you say your character is different?
No! Even the name is the same as that of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Sameer. David ko koi aur naam soojha nahi, toh wahi rakh diya!

So what's your role like?
I play a Doctor who is playful and flirtish. But he dislikes getting married so tells women that he is already married so that they back off. It so happens that he meets this girl Sonia and falls for her. She wants to marry him and he lies again. But Sonia now wants to meet the wife. How to create a wife when there is none? It's from here that things get sticky & messy ...

So you are the mischief-maker...
Yes! I intentionally & unintentionally create all the chaos all the time!

What about your co-stars? Did you bully Sohail a lot?
Bully and me? Utha utha ke patka hain, usne mujhe!

But how do you like him as an actor?
I will like him irrespective of whatever he does. He is my kid bro' and no matter what, he gets that concession. But I genuinely like his action! But he has done some fabulous comedy in this one. He's sure to blow you away!

Since it's a home production, were you seen more on the sets?
That wasn't the case at all. I used to behave like a star on my sets too. All I did was come, act, pack and leave. The film is Sohail's, as are the production hassles.

You team with Sush for a third time. How does it feel to romance your best bud?
Sush is terrific. She is a brilliant actor. We are always in splits when he gang up on the sets.

And ladylove Katrina?
When we started out, she didn't know a single word of Urdu. She used to fracture each line of the dialogue but she worked her a** off and got the diction right. Besides she has high energy levels, dances well and looks very good onscreen. You see, there is a package there.

A piece of advice that you held out to her...
None, whatever you see of her in the film is courtesy her hardwork and 'slog-like-a-dog' attitude.

Any favourites in the music?
I like 'Jaana, you are the one'. You like it?

Not really, I prefer 'Just Chill!'
Oh okay, but you don't like the song or the way I sung it?

A bit of both, maybe!

Who's tougher to impress, Sohail or Arbaaz?
My dad!

And what was the atmosphere like on the sets?
Aisa laga ghar se bahar nikle hi nahi! It was a blast!
