From a no game Khel to her entry into audience's minds with No Entry, ex-
Miss India Celina can now be identified by every Tom Dick and Harry. Well, that also happens to be the name of her next film where she plays the central character wooed by three guys. Much in the news for her pole-dancing antiques in this movie, Celina talks to IndiaFM about her role and role-models.
Can you tell us a little about your role in Tom, Dick and Harry?
I am playing an undercover character in the film. That's all I can tell you right now. I am wooed by all the three boys.
We've heard that you are playing a pole dancer in the movie. Is that true?
Well, not really. I am not a pole dancer, but am pretending to be one.
Did you have any apprehensions about that?
Not at all! I am a dancer and I love dancing. I love all sorts of dancing and have done all of them. This was a very new experience for me because pole dancing is not a form of dancing. It is just a technique. The first time I did it, I was told to do whatever I want! I was like 'Oh my God! What do I do?' But then, later on it was great fun.
How did you prepare for the pole dancing steps?
It is a misconception that I am a pole dancer! It was just the part of a song. I did not really need any training for it. It was fine. I did it on the spot.
How was your experience of working with Mr. Deepak Tijori?
I must say that Deepak is a very stylish presenter. And he has a great sense of humour. We have gelled very well and everything has been perfect. I have seen his earlier films and have really liked them a lot. At the end of the day, I think he is a brilliant presenter. This is his first attempt at comedy. The script is brilliant and we all are doing a great job.
Deepak's earlier films haven't exactly been box office successes. Did that bother you at all?
Honestly speaking, no one really starts with a box office success, unless they are really lucky. You don't judge a person by their failures but by their talent. That's how I judge people.
What was your experience of working with the other cast members in this film?
Well, I have had great fun. I have shot quite a few scenes now and it has been fun. The scenes are hilarious and these three boys are really funny. Dino has been a friend of mine. This is the first time that I am working with Jimmy and Anuj. I must say that it is nice working with all of them. They're great actors.
What are your fondest memories from the making of this film?
Not really because we haven't shot for so long. It has been fun shooting because it is a comedy. We laughed a lot while the shooting was going on.
What, according to you is the USP of the film?
I would say the USP of the film is the script. Also, the fact that it is a comedy with a twist!
What next after Tom, Dick and Harry?
For this year, there are three more releases. One is Tom, Dick and Harry, the second is Zinda and the third is Jawani Diwani.
Is it true that you are also doing a film that is a desi version of Charlie's Angels?
Talks are going on but I really haven't decided right now.
You are also slated to play the role of Anarkali.
It is the modern day remake of Mughal-E-Azam. If it was to happen today, what would the situation be like? I am recreating the magic of Madhubala in today's time and date. That is a difficult job. It is easier to be someone in a period film because you know what that period and era is all about. But to recreate a character from the past in today's time and date is a very difficult job. I have been really nervous about it. I am putting all my efforts into doing the right research.
Lastly tell the audience, why they should go and watch Tom, Dick and Harry.
Well if you are really stressed out and have a lot of work and want to release the stress, go to the hall and watch Tom, Dick and Harry. You will enjoy it!
