Excuse Me. After that Saahil Khan has made more news in controversies rather than cinema. And the reason behind all hullabaloos in his life has consistently been
Negar Khan. From her deportation from India to their secret marriage to their break-off, Negar has not just gained media hype for herself but also for ex-husband Saahil.
And now again Saahil comes back in news expressing how hurt he is on Negar's new publicity gimmicks of appearing topless with actor Luigi Casandra. Nevertheless that doesn't stop Saahil from doing a film with Negar, which moreover is based on their real life story itself.
In an exclusive conversation with IndiaFM, the actor talks out his heart...
Is it true that you are working in a movie with ex-wife Negar Khan? After your break-up with her how comfortable you would be working with Negar?Right now the producer-director have spoken formally and the project is on a very initial stage. I don't know much about how they are planning to co-ordinate because there is a lot of communication gap between us. Everything is on a verbal stage. I guess I won't be comfortable initially but as a professional, I need to just finish my work and wait for my cheques.
Is the movie based on your real life story with Negar Khan? That is what they are intending to do. They are discussing that with a writer. If they are able to sign Negar and set her dates, I am sure the movie will take off. I however, have nothing in writing and I will believe only when I sign the contract and receive my cheques. Soon after Negar was deported, a lot of producer-directors approached us for a story on our life, but all the while we thought that they were not serious, now this one seems.
Your life story with Negar also had some bitter experiences that led to the breakup. How cool would you be with recreating the same scenes again for the film? Like I mentioned, it will be difficult initially, I would certainly be disturbed. It's only human. To re-live the bitterness is really difficult because I loved Negar more than I loved myself. However, I am going to give it my best shot.
Tell us something more about the movie? Who's making it and where's it being shot? Mohammed Fazil from Showman International is the producer for the film. The movie is yet on the scripting stage because it is a story of two living people, and the actors are the same people. They have to be very careful about how the script shapes up. The movie, like I am told will first be shot in Mexico and then in Italy, where Nigar lives because of her career. But I think it will be a little difficult to recreate the Indian backdrop, which is a major part of our story; anywhere abroad.
Apart from this movie, you were also to star in a movie called Shortcut with Negar Khan. Tell us something about that movie. The movie is incomplete because of Negar's deportation. The producers are in touch with me and they are planning to either finish the movie abroad or re-shoot Negar's part with some other actress. The film is about a con guy, with several get-ups and different shades. It also stars Payal Rohatgi and Mona Lisa.
Recently Negar's topless pictures appeared in the media with actor Luigi Casandra. How do you react to it? It is hurting, but then this is how life is. People change and so has she. It's time for me to move on. I hope she makes the right choices for herself in life.
In the long delayed film Do Chehre, have you taken on the role, which was earlier being played by Suniel Shetty? It's heard that Suniel left the film because it was much delayed and you carry forward from thereon with a plastic surgery to the character? Yes, that's true. The film is suspense thriller with revenge as a theme.
What is Suniel Shetty's reaction to you taking on his role? Is he ok or upset about it? I have not interacted with Suniel on this. He had some problems with the producer so he stepped out and I took it up. He has no reasons to be upset, I am too new in this field and I am only learning.
Tell us something about Kahaani - A Unique Story where you star opposite Mahima Chaudhary and Yukta Mookhey. I have officially signed that movie, and I play a grey character in it. I am not sure when the film will go on floors.
Any other future projects? I am doing N.Chandra's next comedy
Gossip about your linkup with some German model is making rounds of the media. Please clarify... She was a very dear friend of mine who was here for Hugo Boss. I was spotted with her at a couple of public places and that is how the gossip started doing the rounds. But that's how this industry is, you get spotted and people start building up stories around you.
