Mallika romping on the white beaches of Mauritius a la Baywatch & you realize; truer words were never said. Sun-kissed skin, seductive eyes, bosom that spill out of her bustier, tantalizing curves and sexuality that's strictly X-rated!

No lying, her heat could melt the sun. But here's a hiccup...

A Bollywood star went to Cannes but it feels like an international celeb has returned. The snooty arch of her brow, the forced smile, the obvious sarcasm, the dictating of terms & conditions...not happening. Mallika in plunging necklines, hot. Mallika between sheets, hotter. Mallika throwing delicious quotes, piping hot! But Mallika throwing starry tantrums; leaves us bilkul thanda.

We met up with the sex-goddess for some good-natured chat about her Friday fry this week, Bachke Rehna Re Baba where she co-stars with Rekha & comic gurus, Paresh Rawal & Satish Shah. If you manage to cut through the cold veil, there is meat waiting...

Did you somewhere doubt Govind's comic skills after Kis Kis Ki Kismat bit the dust?
Strange if people think so! I personally didn't think Kis Kis Ki Kismat had a great plot; I had other reasons for doing it. But Bachke Rehna Re Baba rocks, man! It is the sexiest, raunchiest comedy ever made! It is a chick flick and it has Rekha & Mallika Sherawat!

You must have had a blast playing a con woman. What is Padmini like?
The film centers around a mausi-bhanji relation. These two women make a living out of conning old, foolish men and then run away with pots of money. It is seduction at its wildest best! Bachke Rehna Re Baba is a fun film; it has entertainment and masala in huge dozes and is simply hillarious!

As a con woman, you must have different get-ups, any favorites among them?
I play a Haryanvi maid in one part of the film. That kind of was very interesting because being a native of Haryana, I had never thought I would play myself onscreen someday.

Mallika-Rekha 'friends turned foe', what is your equation now?
I had a great onscreen time working with Rekha. She is the original 'Diva'. I have grown on her films and always looked up to her in more ways than one. It is like when a young cricketer joins a cricket academy, his idol is Sachin Tendulkar. He is awestruck by his idol but somewhere and wants to be like him. If not better he wants to be as good as his icon. It was the same with me.

But Rekha is too cool for words. At her age, she is still so confident of her job and most importantly is helpful too. We had our moments but now when I look back I can tell you that we had a roaring chemistry on the sets.

Bollywood has been fairly patriarchal, BRRB is a chick flick. Do you think the boxoffice will be kind to it?
I don't get your question too well. Look, to me, it's a film about two women who have a blast out of duping people of their booty. It has a unique casting which should do the trick. With the satellite, internet and various communications opening up, I am sure mindsets are undergoing change. We are here to break old stereotypes; hopefully people will become more encouraging of new concepts. And Bachke Rehna Re Baba has substance, star-appeal and glamour at its best ever!

If funny is what funny does, what is the goofiest thing you did?
The film is full of funny incidents. But there is this one particular incident that comes to my mind right now. I was at a Doctors's residence, now he is this mumma's boy. Dressed in a sexy outfit, I am giving him a killer look and just as I am about to pop a cherry into my mouth to seduce him, I choke myself with it!

I am crying for help, calling to the guy to come and save my life. And he gives me the look that a prince would give his damsel in distress. Finally he begins to come towards me and just as I think to myself that here he is, he passes by me calling out to his mom, 'Mumma, mumma!' That has to be the funniest thing that happened to me! On second thoughts, how could he have sidestepped Mallika & gone to his mom?

That was your character, what about you? I am sure Mallika is no Plain Jane and has a wicked side to her...

Bachke rehna re baba to all the men out there, Watch out you guys, the sexiest women are on the prowl!

4 films old, how did it feel to share the red-carpet with an icon like Jackie Chan?
It was a very proud moment for me. When Jackie & I were walking down the red carpet, I could hear the paparazzi chanting 'Jackie, Jackie, Mallika, Mallika' that kind of felt wonderful. To be up there with the best isn't something that falls into everyone's lap. So, it felt both proud as well as grateful that the moment had come my way!

Would you like to share us some interesting media reactions that you faced?
The media was very positive of my appearance there and called me the hottest thing at Cannes. They even called me a paparazzi magnet and the ultimate compliment was when they compared me to Bridget Bardo, which is like a monument in France. That was the ultimate high!

And the pick of the lot would be...
Would be when one of them remarked that they have seen many beauties from India, but this is the first when they saw a 'Babe' from Bollywood! I found that was pretty cool!

You were there to promote The Myth. But did you manage to erase any myth about Bollywood?
Like...?

For instance, Bollywood is full of exotic beauties & little else.
Well, yes they do think India is full of exotic beauties, but then Penelope Cruz is considered exotic, so is Halle Berry. So it is all upon oneself, on how you turn your exotica to your advantage.

Feels kind of abrupt? Well, tough luck. Madame Mallika won't mutter anything further...
