Madhur BhandarkarMadhur Bhandarkar has always dared to do the different. After Chandni Bar and Page 3, he has started on his next film Corporate. Touted to have a bigger cast than his Page 3, Corporate is something that the Indian audience has not seen before.

Two national awards already. Is Corporate going to give you your next?
I don't make films based on whether they are going to win awards or not. The audience accepting the film is like an award. This film has a different concept altogether and it's up to the audience to accept it or reject it.

After Page 3, there are more expectations from Corporate.
Expectations are always there. Expectations rose after Chandni Bar as well. I'm trying to make a good film. Corporate is an experimental film and that is why I'm keeping it low budget. It is not easy to make an experimental film on a high budget as you tend to make more mistakes.

You initially wanted to cast Aishwarya for the film?
Minnisha LambaYes, I did want Aishwarya and she was keen on doing the film as well but somehow she could not allot me the dates that I wanted as she had committed for two international films already. The time she could afford dates was the time I would actually complete my film. We will definitely work in the future together.

Your next choice was Bipasha Basu.
Bipasha has the look required in the glamour world. That is the central idea of the film. But this time Bipasha will be a different Bipasha as she is in a deglamourised role and her performance will be one her finest.

Tell us about Minnisha Lamba, Kay Kay and Sameer Dattani?
There are many levels in the corporate world and Sameer and Minnisha are at the lower level. There is their love story in the backdrop. As for Kay Kay, he plays Bipasha's love interest and is also involved in the corporate world.

Do you think the audience will relate to the film?
If the audience can accept a Page 3, then they can definitely accept a Corporate. I cannot say how well the film will do as it is the audience that makes a film successful. I never thought that Page 3 would become such a big hit and it did.
