David Gray has blasted his songs as being "idiot head-nodding" singles.

Monday, January 02, 2006

David Gray The 'Babylon' singer claims some of his tracks lose their charm as soon as they hit the charts - because they are overplayed.

He revealed: "There are a couple of tracks that stood up for themselves as potential singles. But my affection for them cools the moment they get singled out."

He added to Britain's Guardian G2 magazine: "That blatant commerciality that the world of music embodies, the thought they're gonna have to perform these things again and again, that they have this idiot head-nodding quality."
