"I can't explain how happy I am," says Sharman Joshi (Style fame), of the joyride he's been on since Wednesday morning.
Sharman, married to Prerna (actor Prem Chopra's daughter) for five years, became the proud father of a baby girl on October 12, at Breach Candy Hospital. "I was very excited for the last few weeks and right now, it's still sinking in that I have become a father," says the actor.
Mommy's girl
"By the grace of God, there has been no complication and mother and baby are doing fine. In fact, I have taken an off from work and will be with Prerna and my daughter for the time being." Sharman confidently says that his baby girl looks like her mother. "I think it's too early to figure out anything, but as of now, she looks exactly like her mom. Her features are very similar to Prerna's."
Naam kya rakha?
What will they name her? "All those ceremonies will happen in due course of time. I have not thought of any particular name as of now. We will definitely consult someone for her raashi and then decide on the name."
The actor's sister, Manasi Joshi Roy, is thrilled to bits at becoming a bua. "I am so happy for him. This has been the year of girl power. Earlier in the year, Ronit had a baby girl (Ador) and now Sharman has this really cute daughter. I am so proud to have such cute nieces."
On the work front, Sharman will soon be seen in David Dhawan's comedy, Shaadi No 1, in the role of a Casanova, Aryan, who considers himself God's gift to women.
