The inventive-thought provoking writer-director Sanjay Chhel, who has earlier notated libretto to dash off the stories for the celebrated filmmakers like David Dhawan, Priyadarshan, Ram Gopal Verma, has now finalized with the showman Subhash Ghai to write the script for his forthcoming untitled fête that would be directed by none other than the gifted Satish Kaushik who recently faced failure with Vaada but enjoyed mammoth success two years back with the blockbuster Salman Khan-Bhumika Chawla starrer Tere Naam that wrote history in Hindi cinema. Akshaye Khanna will be the leading protagonist of the flick whereas the central gal opposite him and the rest of the cast are still to be finalized.

A cursory look at his career circuit reveals that he has till now worked with almost all the famed-goliath names of industry from David Dhawan, Priyadarshan, Ram Gopal Verma, Aziz Mirza, Rahul Rawail, Milan Lutharia, Santosh Sivan to now Satish Kaushik. Sanjay turned to the difficult task of direction some years back with the silver jubilee romantic comedy Khoobsurat starring Sanjay Dutt and Urmila Mantondkar then he made another romantic comedy Kya Dil Ne Kahaa featuring Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol. Both the films did well at the box office and made him the successful director.

Chhel started his career with Bollywood journalism working for various publications. His father was attached to a Gujrati theatre. Seeing father in creative job, Sanjay derived the passion from him and gave birth to a writer in himself.

Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya is his latest rib tickling comedy, which stars dashing Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, gorgeous model-turned actress Katrina Kaif, heart-arresting beauty Sushmita Sen and sex goddess Ishaa Koppikar. David Dhawan directs this vivacious outing.

"He has tremendous passion for writing within him. Whatever he writes he writes it with his heart and soul in it", David Dhawan chimes in.

"I have been quite impressed with Sanjay's work and always wanted to work with him. He has a unique style of writing and has the gift of penning witty lines very quickly, which is something very remarkable about him", showman pipes up enthusiastically.

Sanjay Chhel has two more projects in pocket, which he will be directing himself.

The assiduous Sanjay has achieved the success due to his steep hard work, struggle, passion and determination. Not many know that he is a chemical engineer and hails from a well-educated middle class Gujrati family.

Triumphs are on way and he still has a long way to go.
