Ageing actor Feroz Khan, known for his flamboyance, was cloud nine with the recent music launch of his movie JAANASHEEN,  starring his son Fardeen Khan, in Mumbai. Khan's earlier ventures like PREM AGGAN and YALGAAR did not go down well with the audiences but the soulful melodies with equally good lyrics have always been a crowd puller. The function kicked off with the screening of songs, which was applauded by eminent film personalities, including superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Budding actors like Zayed Khan and Raima Sen and Yash Tonk were also present on the occasion.

 
A team of four music directors has composed the scores of the film that are already topping the musical charts. Anand Raj Anand, one of the music directors, said the film's music appealed to the heart rather than to the mind. "Simplicity, good lyrics and soulful...when there is a talk straight from the heart. The songs have more to do with the feelings of heart rather than mind. People who wrack their brains trying to understand the music won't catch it that well. But those with romantic nature would be able to understand it in a much better way," said Anand. Apart from Anand, other music directors of the film include singer Sukhwinder Singh, Biddu and debutante duo Channi Singh and Mridul Sampat.

The movie is an emotional romantic thriller that stars Fardeen Khan and debutante Miss India 2002 winner Celina Jaitely whose bold and steamy scenes have already created a furore in the industry. Jaitely who plays a visually impaired violinist said that she was glad that she featured in all the songs. "It is so different because in every song, in the lyrics...there is so much of poetry to the lyrics. It is not just some song or dance happening on the beach. That's the best thing I like about the film and I am glad to be a part of each and every song," said Jaitely. Jaitely will be next seen dancing around trees in movie KHEL with former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja.

Fardeen Khan said he believed the movie would become a hit. "I do believe that we have succeeded and rest is for the people who listen to the music to make it popular. I think you will have to wait and see for their verdict because they are the ones who actually decide these things," said Khan.

Fardeen Khan was last seen in spooky, spine chilling horror BHOOT where he plays prey to the hovering soul of a woman. Feroz Khan's best musical till date has QURBANI, most of whose songs are coming out as remixes. With JAANASHEEN slated for an August-end release, it remains to be seen whether it really gets close to the hearts of the audiences.
