With crores spent in making a Bollywood film, it is not surprising that the release of each film is viewed with scepticism. The fate of each movie is decided on the release day. Which film will manage to get more revenue, which will bomb at the box-office and which will not are the questions that remain in the minds of every moviegoer. The last few films released -Julie, Taarzan-The Wonder Car, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Kyun Ho Gaya Na and Fida were all extremely "hyped" films that won the attention of the mass much before its release. But naturally a lot was expected from each of them. While we know the outcome of the previous films, what do you think is in store for the upcoming films?

The recently released Fida, being a keenly anticipated film came with the baggage of high expectations. The film had "real life" lovebirds Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor together for the first time. One must admit that at a time when an out-and-out conventional love triangle Mujhse Shaadi Karogi has the nation giggling, it must have been quite a risk for director Ken Ghosh to dare to innovate with a slick thriller that moves at breakneck speed to end at just less than two hours. If FIDA was good, there are few other contenders too that will hit the screen the coming week. It is Phir Milenge and Dhoom.

Phir Milenge with a star-cast of Salman Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty is said to have a very strong theme. Infact, Revathy Menon, the director has won acclaim from the UN for her brave attempt at dealing with a subject like AIDS. The film is Bollywood's first ever feature film tackling the issue on AIDS and has many eyes stuck on it. 

Another film that is equally intriguing is Dhoom directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. This Yash Raj Films production stars Abhishek along with Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen. The film is said to be an out and out action packed masala flick in which the director has reinvented the old classic tale of police-thief and brought it to the 21st century. The major attraction of the film might be the death defying stunts done on speeding bikes. The film has music by Pritam and the song 'Dhoom Machale' is already a rage.

So, who's the winner? Is it Fida, Phir Milenge or Dhoom? Let us all now wait, watch and enjoy the competition between these three.
