Hollywood star Ben Affleck has been paired opposite Bollywood diva Rani Mukherjee in BOMBAY CALIFORNIA. Dev Benegal who has earlier directed ENGLISH AUGUST will direct this film.

 
This year has witnessed three Bollywood stars teaming up with foreign actors. The first in the league was Aishwarya Rai. She plays the lead role in Gurinder Chaddha's BRIDE AND PREJUDICE opposite Jaoquin Phoenix. Second was the CHUPKE SE girl Masumi, who stars opposite Russian actor Valery Nikolaev in the GATE TO HEAVEN, which is directed by a German director Veit Halmer. This week's release BOOM sees Bo Derek in a guest appearance. It is also heard that Baywatch star Brande Rodericks has starred in Vashu Bhagnani's OUT OF CONTROL.

Rani is pretty excited about her in BOMBAY CALIFORNIA. Rani said that she is not interested in Ben Affleck, JLo can keep him. But she would definitely love to meet JLo through Ben. BOMBAY CALIFORNIA is a romantic comedy and it has three central characters: A man, a woman and an ambassador car.
