Famous Tamil actor Bala who fell in love with Amritha Suresh, a contestant of the Idea Star Singer 2007, a reality show on Asianet has got engaged with her.

The actor is trying to get in Malayalam film industry and has decided to adopt the Kerela culture as Amritha is also a Malayali.

The engagement was recently done in the traditional Tamil style in the presence of Swamy Pooramrithanandapuri at a function grace by relatives and close friends.

Their love story was a very filmy indeed. While Amritha had once stood patiently in a queue to get his autograph at a shooting location in Palakkad, the real relationship blossomed when Bala came as one of the judges for the Idea Star Singer show.

The couple will get married in Sep 2010.
