Still regarded by some as the showman of Bollywood, film-maker Subhash Ghai has realised that his priorities have changed - and its anything but filmmaking. The legendary film-maker says that the realisation dawned upon him as he was scripting for his next movie in Switzerland.

Speaking from Zurich, the film-maker says that it is time to hand over the baton to "somebody younger". "I realised that my role as an educationist is dearer to me than anything else. Besides, I have nothing to prove and I don't need to make movies anymore. I might make one or two (movies) more but it is time to pass the baton to a younger director," says Ghai.

Prod him a little more and he rattles off the names of directors who will be launched soon by him - Paritosh Painter (Paying Guest), Manoj Tiwari (Hello Darling) and Neeraj Pathak (Right Ya Wrong).

"It is very important for everybody to move on. I have been a film-maker for a long time. That is still my identity now but yet, I won't dither to admit that film-making doesn't top my priority list anymore," he adds.

Ghai says that the expansion of his banner (Mukta Arts) and looking after his acting school will take up most of his time. "I want to contribute to at least 10 films a year and I want to create actors and directors who will be celebs in their own right. That necessarily doesn't have to be through films. That is a reason why I have just opened an actors studio. Like Rahman, I never want to stop dreaming. But that necessarily doesn't have to be the same dream that I had," the film-maker signs off.
