Mumbai: Actor Emraan Hashmi is very passionate about books which are work related.
However, his favourite novel Man and Boy by Tony Parsons, is far removed from his line of work. "It's about a guy undergoing a mid-life crisis, albeit when he is only 13 years old! I read this novel about six months back and have found it to be highly inspirational," says the actor.
The novel revolves around a successful TV executive whose life is just about perfect, until one fateful night when his life falls apart and he loses his job and his wife leaves him-- all in quick succession. "I couldn't put the book down when I first read it," confesses Emraan.
So what's his choice in films like? "I have loads of favourites, but my all-time favourite movie till date is The Dark Knight. It's a really good film with a fantasy and fiction kind of tempo but it also has suspense and drama," says the good-looking actor.
Another film which he's also fond of is Psycho because he likes to watch "psychopathic characters" on screen.
The first film he watched in a theatre was The Ten Commandments at Eros cinema.'
