Mumbai: Actors Soha Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi luckily survived a freak accident that saw the sets of their forthcoming film Tum Mile collapse on their head. Again, in another incident, they were badly injured as their bodies knocked against cars being used during the shoot leaving the two bleeding with deep bruises on their shoulders and head.

Soha narrated the horror to us. "We were badly injured not once but twice on the sets. The film is about the 2005 Mumbai floods and we had to create an artificial flood on the sets using gallons and gallons of water. During one shot, the crew had to release some 20,000 gallons of water and we were supposed to be shown trapped in it. The water simply knocked us down."

She adds, "We were swept away and we banged ourselves against cars that were being used to show that we were on the streets of Mumbai. My shoulders were bruised and Emraan banged his head badly. We were bleeding too. Doctors had to be rushed to the sets and we were attended to. Shooting too was wrapped for the day."

Soha says Tum Mile has been an accident-prone affair. "The next scene was an underwater sequence which was meant to show how Mumbai was flooded and we were trying our best not to drown. The set came crashing down on our heads. We were hurt again and had to suspend shooting," she says, revealing that the lead actors had to take three injections - anti-typhoid, anti-malaria and anti-hepatitis before they started shooting the flood sequences.

"It has been the most challenging shoot for both of us. We had to shoot drenched in water for 12 hours for 40 days constantly and so we had to take precautions. The injections were only safety measures so that we don't fall sick."
