Hrithik Roshan fails song test

hb_400Hrithik Roshan's name is synonymous with dance. The actor, known for his superb dancing skills, is playing a salsa teacher in his new film Kites, which will release in two versions - one for the Indian audience and another for the international audience.

However, the sad news is that the English version will not have any song sequences. Even few dance sequences have been omitted to shorten the running time of the film as the international audience is used to one-and-a-half-hour movies.

In Cannes, the rough cut of the films international version was shown to studios like Fox, Sony, Paramount, Disney, Warner, Universal and Lionsgate. The feedback was satisfactory. A source says, "The running time of the Hindi version is around two hours and 30 minutes. The English version has been shortened for the Western audience. The Hindi version has many songs and dance sequences filmed on Hrithik.

A spokesperson of Reliance Big Pictures, which owns all the rights of Kites, confirms that the two versions have different running times and that song sequences are not a part of the international version.
