Mumbai: Doctors had to be rushed on the sets of Ishqiya to attend to actress Vidya Balan when accidentally her jaw got locked leaving her twisting and turning in pain. It was the immediate medical attention that helped the situation and her pain subsided considerably or else Vidya could have even landed up in hospital.

A source close to the developments of the film says, "A particular scene in Ishqiya had Arshad Warsi and Vidya in it and Arshad had to deliver an intense dialogue by holding Vidya's jaw tightly. Accidentally, Vidya got hurt but she thought it was nothing. After a few takes, the pain increased tremendously and Vidya as well as the entire team present on the sets realised that she had got a locked jaw. Her face became pale and one could see that she was in unbearable pain. But Arshad is not at fault, he also did not realise that Vidya had got hurt."

When contacted, producer Raman Maroo's daughter Mansi who was present on the sets confirms, "It is true that Vidya gotlockjaw on the sets and the doctor did come in to see that she was fine. If she would have told us that she was feeling pain after the first shot we would have tried to attend to her, but she was gutsy enough to go on with filming...only later she couldn't bear the pain. She is fine now. Proper medical attention has been given to her."
