Mumbai: Dia Mirza is on a new high these days. The actor is currently busy making plans for building not one, but three houses in Hyderabad, her home-town. She'll build the houses on the plot of land that was awarded to her when she won a beauty pageant in 2000.
"I'm planning to build three row houses in the traditional villa style on this huge land situated in the valley overlooking the entire Hyderabad city. The area is just next to the Golconda Fort and the Qutub Shahi. So you can imagine how beautiful it is. It's going to take some time to be complete but it's going to be grand. The land was given to me by Chandrababu Naidu," says Dia.
Dia might be kicked about his development, but we grill her on the news about her differences with the makers of Acid Factory, a film directed by her buddy Sanjay Gupta.
"It is a highly speculative report with no iota of truth to it. The entire cast and crew of the film is like one big happy family. Acid Factory is one of my biggest films and is releasing as scheduled in the winter of 2009. The shooting is complete and the film is in the post-production stages. The makers have grand marketing plans," says Dia, who plays a villain in the film.
The former model adds, "I really worked hard for the film and can't wait to see the promos on air. I'm thankful and grateful to the team who put a lot of effort and has delivered such a good content film."
