My Mom’s New Boyfriend directed by George Gallo is supposedly a romantic comedy full of humor. Although the movie is filled with awesome star cast like Colin Hanks, Meg Ryan and Antanio Bandreas, but it is an ultimate disappointment in the name of comedy.
Henry (Colin Hanks) hasn't seen Mom (Meg Ryan) in three years due to his undercover duties as an FBI agent. When he returns home with his fiancee (Selma Blair), he finds that Mom hasn't just lost hundreds of pounds, she's also turned into a raving sexual lunatic. Soon Henry assigns Antonio Bandreas ,a know art thief to spy on her.
George Gallo intrigues into the harsh reality of women who wants to relive her youth instead of focusing on the mother and her lust for men. A woman who wants to just wipe off her past that includes a loveless marriage and a needless pregnancy. The story lacks substance and disappoints.
And not to forget Meg Ryan’s cosmetic surgery, which leaves the viewers aghast during the movie.
Its a sheer waste of time, one should only go if one does not have anything better.
