Mumbai: Jassi was one of the few characters from the small screen who was very popular among kids as well as adults. Mona Sigh who essayed the character hasn't forgotten that for sure. The actress is traveling to Nagpur for a special performance for children suffering from cancer.

One of a kind: Mona SinghAn ecstatic Mona says, "Jassi made me whatever I am and I owe a lot to the kids for my popularity. I have always wanted to do something for the kids and time is always a constraint. So, this time when I was approached by an NGO for a special appearance for cancer patients, I just grabbed it. Kids are so adorable and innocent and I know my heart will be too happy to be there among those kids."

Mona is very excited about the performance too. "I have to impress the kids with my performance and have to bring a smile on their face. I want the dance steps to be perfect and I will be dancing with the kids too," she adds.

Mona has also walked the ramp for Hemant Trivedi with special kids recently. "I guess after the walk and interaction with the kids, I have wanted to do something for them. I hope I get more and more opportunities to do my bit for the kids," she says.

Coming back to work, Mona is still busy with Raj Kumar Hirani's much anticipated movie 3 Idiots. Last week, she shot with Kareena Kapoor. "We bonded like a house on fire. Kareena is very chilled out, easy to work with and great fun to be with. In fact, the bonding has become so great with the whole unit that I never feel like an outsider. It has become like a family."

The next schedule of the movie is in June. "Aamir has gone on a vacation with his son and I have lots of pending scenes with Aamir to be shot. I think Raju is planning the next schedule in June," she ends.
