Mumbai: Chassni is a film close to Jaya Bachchan's heart. It's directed by a woman, with three female protagonists (Ayesha Takia and Raveena Tandon, apart from Jaya). So as a special birthday gift, debutante director Revathy Varma pre-poned her muhurat for the film to specially coincide with Jaya's birthday.

 Jaya Bachchan and Ayesha TakiaTalking about it, co-star Raveena says, "Yes, we were supposed to start in May but I am glad that we started on Jayaji's birthday. We are all her fans."

While Raveena is making a comeback after a long time, this is Ayesha's first film after marriage, and it's said that Ayesha cut short her honeymoon for the muhurat.

While Jaya shot through the day in Madh Island, later in the evening on Thursday at Jalsa, the Bachchans had a small gathering to celebrate her birthday.

Those who attended included Anil Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan's brother Ajitabh, bahu Aishwarya's family, Karan Johar, film-makers Rakeysh Mehra, Shaad Ali, Romesh Sharma and Apoorva Lakhia, admen Piyush Pandey and Prasoon Joshi, Illa Arun and Jaya's close friend, veteran actress Shammi, amongst others.

The dinner, however, got quickly wrapped up and by twelve thirty the guests were seen exiting the bungalow.
