Singer-turned-actor, Lucky Ali was last seen in Rajiv Babbar’s drama Kasak in 2005, before he did a disappearing act. Now, Lucky is all set to make a comeback on the big screen in a comedy titled Rock Shock.
The crooner plays a philanderer alongside actor, Sonali Kulkarni, who will don the role of his on-screen doting (yet nagging) wife.
Confirming the news, Sonali says, “It is an out-and -out comedy film. We have shot in Mauritius and we have just a few more scenes to go which will be shot in Mumbai. Lucky plays an efficient corporate man with an eye for women, but I always corner him and catch him in tricky situations. Basically, he plays a flirtatious husband and I play his suspicious wife. I always think that he is having an affair with somebody or that he’s eyeing another woman even if he is not. I pity his state in the film as I make his life hell.”
Sonali who was rather taken by Lucky’s skill in front of the camera is very glad to have been paired opposite him.
Fifty-year-old Lucky is only the second of eight children of popular comedian Mehmood. He has acted in films like Sur, Kaante and Love at Times Square. Rock Shock is expected to release in the latter part of 2009.
