London: John Travolta reportedly clutched and cradled the dead body of his son and told him "I'm sorry Jett".

Travolta uttered these last words after efforts to revive his son, Jett, proved futile. Jett Travolta was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of the Travolta's holiday home in the Bahamas. Tarino Lightbourn, a paramedic at Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Grand Bahama, told how the actor was devatated and clung to his only son's body after doctors told the him that his 16-year-old son was no more alive.

"John went behind the hospital curtain, tears in his eyes. I could see the sorrow. I could see the love in his eyes for his son. When he was hugging his son he said, I'm sorry Jett. I think he meant, I'm sorry Jett, I did all I could do," Lightbourn said. Travolta had revealed recently how he struggled for almost 20 minutes to keep his son alive after his nanny Jeff Kathlein found him unconcious on the bathroom floor of their holiday home in Bahamas.

The Pulp Fiction star begged his son to live as his 46-year-old wife Kelly Preston looked on. An ambulance rushed them to hospital, The Sun reported. "I remember him looking up at the ceiling and saying, God, please help me ," the paramedic further added. The 54-year-old actor has flew back home from Bahamas with his actress wife Kelly Preston with their son's ashes. The couple was reportedly too emotionaly agitated to be present at his cremation service on the island.
