Ganguly to be a judge on SRK's show
Wednesday, January 07, 2009 06:45 [IST]

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is all set to make his small screen debut this year. However, compared to all the cricketers in the past, he will not shake a leg or croon away to glory.

The cricketer will be a judge on Shah Rukh Khan's reality show, Knights and Angels, which is a talent search show for cheerleaders.

As we all know, SRK is the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premiere League. The second edition of the mega cricket event is going to unravel this year and expectedly there is a need for a cheerleaders team.

On the other hand, SRK has ventured into TV production too. So, SRK has combined both the initiatives and come out with this innovative reality show which will be the first-of-its kind on Indian television.

When contacted, Shailja Kejriwal, EVP Content, NDTV Imagine, said, "Things are not finalised as yet. But as we all know Sourav was the captain of Shah Rukh's Kolkata Knight Riders - we are expecting that he would have some involvement in the project since the show is related to the game of cricket. But, his role is not clear yet. We will soon announce the show."

SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment is producing the show and choreographer Shiamak Davar will be training the girls. Things are expected to get finalised within two weeks and the show will hit TV screens possibly by March.
