Hollywood hottie Jessica Alba has been approached by legendary South Indian superstar Rajnikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth to play Scarlett Keeling (the British teenager found murdered in Goa) in her production titled
Goa, a movie based on Scarlett's horrific rape and killing in the state.
In February 2008, Scarlett was found dead on Anjuna beach. Police had then said that she had died due to accidental drowning. Her mother Fiona MacKeown however claimed that her daughter was attacked and a second post-mortem was conducted. It revealed that she was raped and killed. It was reportedly stated that Scarlett was given ecstasy, cocaine and LSD on the night she died.
A well-placed industry source reveals, "The film is in Tamil but Scarlett's role which is to be played by Jessica Alba will see her speak in English. The film is most probably being made in association with Warner Bros. Genelia D'Souza is also a part of the film and she will play a more pivotal role. The plot, however, revolves around Jessica's character."
The insider adds: "The rest of the cast comprises Tamil actors. Jessica, it seems, has asked for a bound script from Soundarya. She will go through it carefully before giving her nod to the film."
When contacted, a member of Soundarya's production team confirmed to DNA that Jessica has indeed been approached for the movie. However, there was no official confirmation from Soundarya.
