ramyaBangalore:Well-known Kannada actress Ramya is excited about her role in the upcoming film "Jothegaara" and describes it as one of her best. "The title of the film may well suggest that it is yet another hero centric film, but the entire film revolves around my character.

The film has given me one of the best roles of my career," says Ramya. The film is being produced by Ashwini Ramprasad and directed by new director Shikamani. The cast and crew completed the Bangalore shooting schedule in September. Ramya s two recent films "Bombaat" and "Anthoo Inthoo Preethi Banthu" were box office duds. But the success of "Mussanje Maathu" made up for the losses. She paired with Sudeep in the film. They were acting together after a long time. Sudeep has now signed her for his next directorial venture

Apart from that, Ramya has Kannada films "Ullasa", being directed by Prakash, and director Milind Rao s untitled venture in her kitty. Ramya, who is known as Divya Spandana in Tamil cinema, will be seen in Tamil movie "Varanam Aayiram", which was earlier scheduled for Diwali release. Directed by Gautham Menon, the film will now hit the screens Nov 14.

"It was scheduled for Diwali release, but it got postponed. I wanted the film to be released during Diwali for sentimental reasons - my previous Tamil film Polladhavan , in which I was paired with Dhanush, was released during Diwali and had become a big hit," she said. However she is positive about the film. "I think Varanam Aayiram has the potential to become a super hit because of its story and songs. The audio has already become a big hit," says Ramya
