Perizaad Zorabian may have been in exile from the big screen for a long time now but she doesn’t seem to miss anything. Her 11-month-old daughter, Zaha is keeping her busy.
“I think motherhood has changed me. It’s the most beautiful experience a woman can have. Now, my life revolves around Zaha (which means brilliance). I don’t miss anything,” she says.
Zaha hardly leaves Perizaad with the time to concentrate on something else. “I believe that the mother should be with the child when she is growing up. I would not like to deprive her of the care and affection she deserves and I am enjoying every moment of it,” she adds.
In between, she hosted a show titled Krazy Kiya Re. “It was a show which suited my timings and was a good experience. Due to my change in priorities, I have to be careful of taking on projects which will not hamper the upbringing of Zaha,” she says.
Besides babysitting, she has been reading a few books. “Books inspire me. I am an absolute fan of Paulo Coelho and his mastery over the amalgamation of spirituality and fiction. I also like Robin S Sharma among others.
One of my friends has suggested authors like J M Coetzee (South Africa), Orhan Pamuk (Turkey), Milan Kundera (Czechoslovakia) and the recent bestseller The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini; the stories seemed intriguing and I am going to pick them when I go to a bookstore,” she says.
