Hear the latest: The story of their new film, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, bears a striking similarity to their 1976 smash hit Tapasya [Raakhee, Parikshit Sahni]. Is Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi the present-day version of Tapasya ?

Director Kaushik Ghatak is caught unaware when this writer questions him about it. "You may draw parallels with a character or two, but the storyline is completely different. EK VIVAAH AISA BHI is about sacrifice, love, dedication. It's not similar to Tapasya" Kaushik clarifies.

Kaushik has been associated with popular television shows like Kyunkii Saas Bhi, Sanjeevani and Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki. There's an overdose of family dramas on television, so how would he rate the prospects of Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi at the box-office?

"Family dramas will never go out of fashion. A sizeable section of movie-going audience still prefers going out for a film that the entire family can enjoy. Also, let's not forget, a good film always finds its audience," he says. Point noted!
