Gulshan Grover’s upset
Thursday, October 16, 2008 05:39 [IST]

The ‘Bad man’ of Bollywood, Gulshan Grover, is furious. He is upset that the filmmakers of his forthcoming film Shoot on Sight have not only forgotten to include his picture on the film's posters but also have omitted his name from the cast list.

An angry Gulshan says, “I'm really very upset about this incident. It only goes to show that the producer is very short sighted.”

The film has been produced by Aron Govil, whose company is an international film finance, production and worldwide distribution firm specialising in promotion, sales and distribution of Indian cross-over films in USA, UK, Europe and other major world markets.

“I don’t know how it happened. Maybe it was due to the people who designed the posters. They have certainly not seen the film, they do not know who has played what role. There is also a peculiar trait of putting up faces of goras on the posters. We are also in the age of cut, copy and paste from the net. My name must not have been on some website that they might have visited for the cast list and so my name got omitted here too,” he says.

But has Gulshan spoken to the producer about it? “Yes, I have. In fact, at a press conference I pointed out to Aron that I was upset about the entire thing. But come on, we are all professionals, such things don’t leave a lasting impact and they shouldn't. I wish the film all success and I have not asked anything from Aron. The film releases on Friday and there’s nothing you can do now, like changing the posters etc,” he says.
