London: Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse's husband has sent an abusive letter to her father from jail.

Blake is currently serving a 27-month jail sentence at Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, Britain after he was convicted of causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Thesun.co.uk reports that the letter is six pages long and contains violent threats and abuses. The letter is with police now and Mitch will have to decide whether he wants to press charges on his son-in-law or leave things as they are.

"I could hear Mitch physically shaking when he phoned to tell me about the letter. He couldn't even bring himself to read it out loud as it was just too sickening. But he told me that Blake described graphic scenes from a horror movie, in which Mitch is the victim," said a close friend of Mitch.

"Part of Mitch wants to pursue this further with the police, maybe even taking out a restraining order. But then he is worried about it all driving a wedge between him and Amy," added the friend.
