Mumbai: Actress Shamita Shetty, who has recently shot a promotional video for Hari Puttar: A comedy of Errors today said it was wrong to term the song as an item number.
"It is a masti number where I play myself. The song is peppy Punjabi song. To term it as an item number is not correct. It is a kids film," Shamita, sister of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, told reporters here.
Hari Puttar recently won a court case against Hollywood studio Warner Brothers who had dragged the film's producer Mirchi Movies to court on the ground that the film s title was similar to Harry Potter , a franchisee owned by Warner Brothers.
The film starring Zain Khan, Sarika, Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla among others will release on September 26.
Shamita said she was approached for the promotional video after the film was shot. "I liked the concept and took it on," she said adding the song is not part of the film.
"I enjoyed every moment of shooting for the video. It was a fun song and I had to dance with Zain Khan (Hari Puttar) and other kids," she added.
Shamita said Zain is a good actor. "It was fun working with him," she said.
To a question why she was not seen much on the silver screen, Shamita said she was busy with her production house. "I am running my production house now and it takes up a lot of my time. I do not get much time to do films and I need something that I enjoy to take it up," she added.
Shamita also denied that elder sister Shilpa is planning to cast her with Akshay Kumar in her forthcoming home production. "Shilpa was never making a film with me and Akshay Kumar," she added. Source : PTI
