Mumbai:Taking a break from his Munnabhai films sequence, Rajkumar Hirani has commenced shooting for his latest film "3 Idiots" which brings the pair of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for the first time together.
They will take part in a 20 day schedule which will be held at Ladakh.
"3 Idiots" went on floors early this week in Mumbai with Hirani directing R Madhavan aboard an aircraft.
The film is loosely based on Chetan Bhagats "5 Point someone" on 3 engineering students.
Hirani said, "we are literally off to a flying start. It was amazing to shoot inside a real aircraft. We are really excited and raring to go."
The film is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, written by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijeet Joshi. The lyrics are by Swanand Kirkire and music has been composed by Shantanu Moitra.
Apart from Aamir and Kareena, the film features Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Source : DNA
