London:"Star Wars" actor Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey liplock for the black comedy "I Love You, Phillip Morris".

Thesun.co.uk reports that the movie is based on Houston Chronicle crime reporter Steve McVicker's book of the same name. Carrey stars as Steven McVicker, a happily married con man in a Texas prison who falls in love with his cell-mate Phillip Morris, played by McGregor.

Steven had planned various escapes from the jail - once even faked his own death. He was later sentenced to more than a hundred years in jail for his attempted escapes.

Leslie Mann, who starred with Carrey in the 1996 hit "Cable Guy", will also be seen in "I Love You Phillip Morris", which is scheduled for 2009 release.
