kironKirron Kher is content with life at this point, discovers Chhaya Toshniwal

Kirron Kher is all set to set sail for Cape Town. This time, its not for work, but to accompany hubby Anupam on a shoot. Well, then… things seem to be going fine between the couple contrary to the rumours  regarding their split that were making their way around a few months back. When we asked her about it, Kirron said, “We didn’t confront the media because these were baseless rumours. Both Anupam and I laughed about it.”

After laughing about the unjustifiable rumours, Kirron gets straight to business and talks about her role in Singh is Kinng. She says, “I play the role of a Punjabi woman who sells flowers. She migrates to a country where she meets Akshay Kumar. In the whole movie, each of us are transforming into different people - something that we aren’t.” Her upcoming performances include Saas Bahu aur Sensex, Dostaana, Kambaqt Ishq, Rensil D’Silva’s dramatic thriller with Kareena and Saif, and Vipul Shah’s next (after he finishes shooting for London Dreams)

In reality, this lady is a multi-tasker - she’s a brilliant performer, an affectionate wife and a caring mother. Talking about her son Sikandar, we can’t help but ask her if she was disheartened after Sikandar’s films bombed at the box office? Since Anupam and she are such great actors, does her son’s career seem to be looking shakey now? Kirron however, reacts very positively and says, “This is just for a momentary time. The ultimate analysis is what matters. I’m proud of the fact that people have acknowledged and praised his performance. What else can we wish for? Though the path to success might be slower, one has to keep working hard.” Well, hope Sikandar does take this advice from Mommy dear! Mommy Kher also goes on to say that her son’s movies were not flops. “Woodstock Villa was made with less money and it ran for three weeks in multiplexes. They got their money back. It is just a perception that this movie was a flop. And unfortunately for Summer 2007, there were only morning shows, when most people couldn’t make it. But there was a large number of people wanting to watch the movie,” says Kirron. Now, with a supporting mother like that, Sikandar sure seems to be a lucky boy!
