The actor has filmed many special shots featuring parents of dyslexic children and academicians for the DVD of TZP
Aamir Khan is set to launch the DVD of his acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par and he has included some really interesting features in it. There’s a one-hour programme that features educators, principals and teachers of schools, psychiatrists and parents taking about dyslexia and other learning disabilities of a child to sensitise the audiences.
“Taare Zameen Par is an important film for me not because it is my directorial debut but because the way it has impacted the lives of many children,” Aamir told After Hrs confirming this news and also gave us an insight on what this DVD would feature. It also has Aamir’s commentary on why he chose to do a film on the issue and its significance.
It will also feature the deleted scenes from the film with an explanation on why they could not be a part of the movie in Aamir’s voice.
Another added attraction is 100 pictures from behind the scenes with each one having a customised caption by Aamir himself.
Since the film is about the relationship between a teacher and a child, Aamir has chosen Darsheel Safary’s school Green Lawns at Warden Road as the venue for the launch on Friday.
It is a very interesting move by Aamir considering that DVD of Lagaan was released six years after the film hit the theatres.
However, after looking at the anticipation among his fans who wrote in his blog for the early release of the DVD, Aamir became keen to launch it immediately.
