It couldn’t get funnier than this. We are talking about what happened on the sets of a soap recently.

Last week, the unit of Parrivar (on Zee) was shooting a salsa dance sequence with Faisal Raza Khan aka Swapnil and Deepti Devi aka Radha at Visage Studio in Jogeshwari. While filming the salsa scene, the lead actress Deepti Devi ended up hitting the jaws of Faisal so badly that it started bleeding. Needless to say, the shoot came to an immediate halt. Says Faisal, “The script demanded my character to drag Radha to the dance floor. Radha is reluctant to dance but Swapnil pushes her to do it. I am trained in salsa, so I suggested that we should be dancing salsa.

It was something I was comfortable with, and I also  assumed that Deepti is at least an average dancer. While doing the steps, I realised that my perception was totally wrong.”

He continues, “There have been a lot of falls and lifts in the dance. While doing one of the steps, her legs hit me right on my jaws. It was not at all funny and it hit me really hard. The shoot came to a halt.”

Well, there was no respite for Faisal as he had to shoot a few scenes more before rushing back home.

“Due to the injury, I could not give frontal shots. I gave shots where my side profile or the back was needed. I had to shoot because we were running short in the episode bank. After giving a few shots, I went home,” he ends.
