If you thought that only Aamir Khan was a big fan of Shammi Kapoor and needed his blessings, well here’s some news. His wife Kiran Rao is equally enamoured by the yesteryear’s superstar. Not many know, but Kiran has actually seen all the films of Shammi Kapoor, especially “Teesri Manzil”, which she has seen at least 25 times.

Being a devout fan, Kiran had always wanted to meet Shammi Kapoor. So when Aamir told Kiran that he would like to go to Shammi Kapoor’s house again to seek his blessings for his third production “Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na”, Kiran told him that this time he had to take her along.

A few months ago, Kiran missed the opportunity when Aamir and gone to meet the Suku Suku star during the music release of “Taare Zameen Par”.

“Kiran was really disappointed then that she could not go with Aamir to visit Shammi ji, someone she considers as her idol,” says an insider. “She had made it clear to Aamir that the next time he goes to Shammi ji’s place, he has to take her with him. So when Aamir said he was going to his place for “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na”, she told Aamir that she was going with him.”

Aamir gave in to her demand and she went along with him to her idol’s house. She was very pleased to see him and chatted with him about his movies and told him that she has seen all his films and that “Teesri Manzil” was her eternal favourite.

“Kiran was ecstatic after meeting Shammi ji,” the source adds. “For sometime she could not believe that she was actually sitting in front of her idol. She chatted a lot with him and Shammi ji was also very forthcoming. Kiran told him how she loved to see his movies and that she had never missed a single movie in which he had acted in.”
