People are used to Prachi as Bani...

I realise that Bani is a very popular character and I can’t rob Prachi of her credit. But I have worked before and people have liked me too. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that my replacing Prachi will be accepted well. Its not going to be an overnight change. There is a generation leap and I come back as Bani with the plastic surgery effect which is the best formula for Balaji or any daily soap with a change.  So the character is mature and on a mission to avenge the wrongdoing done to her. It’s a very interestingly put up character.

I have heard about Balaji being a task-master and that’s what was bothering me. But I have kept my terms in front of them and they have given me what I wanted. There’s a mutual agreement between us the terms of which are only known to us.

Marriage has stabilised me...

It was a new chapter in my life. When I was only dating Arjun, I was always pre-occupied with the thought of finishing my work and meeting him to keep up the relationship. But now, my mind is stable. We have spent good time with each other and now we are back to work. It’s a comfortable situation now — we both go to our respective jobs in the morning and get back to each other after a hard day’s work. My staff is well-equipped with keeping our food and other necessities ready. That gives me the comfort to get back to work without any bother.

Arjun is my best friend...

What binds us is our friendship. We have known each other even before we got married or started dating each other so the understanding level is fantastic. And being from the same field we understand each other’s erratic work schedules. There are times when he is waiting for me and vice-versa. Right now, I can only accommodate this show and my home. Of course, there have been loads of offers especially of reality shows but there’s simply no time.
