London: Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has sold her mother Marcheline Bertrand's house, a year after Bertrand died of ovarian cancer.Bertrand's house was sold for $330,000 last month, just before Jolie left for France for a vacation, reports contactmusic.com.
Friends said Jolie didn't want to let go of the house because it reminded her of her mother, who died in January 2007 at the age of 56.
A source said: “They were incredibly close. Marcheline was an actress as well and responsible for getting Angelina involved in films. She had been urged to sell the place by family and friends, but wanted to hold on to one of the last things she could touch or feel of her mother's spirit. Finally, after more than a year, she tearfully let it go.”
