Chetan Hansraj talks about hosting his first chat show and playing the character of Bheem
Chetan Hansraj is all set to try his hand in anchoring shows and that seems to have brought in some excitement in his life.
“I am really excited. After acting for so long, I just thought I should try something new. And at the apt time I got a call from the star people asking me whether I would be interested in anchoring. I was more than happy to agree to do it,” he says.
What about the preparations, as this is his first time? “I am very good in chatting and this show is all about that. Moreover, all these people belong to my fraternity, so I don’t have any inhibitions at all,” he adds.
Besides, this project, he is all pumped up for his first mythological experience. He has a particular instructor Bhupesh, who is helping him with his six pack abs to fit into the shoes of Bheem.
“As I play the powerful character of Bheem, I have to look like an able bodied one who can defy his enemies. So, I am trying to give my best effort to look good on screen. And Bhupesh is really helping me big time,” he says confidently.
What about the dialogues which would demand a lot of effort from the actors? “I am just concentrating on my body. I don’t have any clue about the script and the dialogues. The shooting is yet to start. I am sure, the creative team knows when to tell us to get ready,” he adds.
Chetan who rose to fame with his venomous act in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii as Sasha is not shooting for the show nowadays. “I am on and off in the show. The story is concentrating on other characters, so I am not shooting that often,” he says.
He also took part in Mr and Miss Television and was ousted at the initial phase only. Does he regret being a part of it? “Not at all. The show gave me good money and it got over within a few days. In fact, I started and finished off within 11 days as I was out of the show in the initial phase.”
What about his reputation as a star being at stake with such a fast ouster? “Out of the four reality shows I have participated so far, I won three of them. I won Fear Factor alone, Fun on the Run and Nautica Challenge with my friend Kushal Punjabi. So, to be very frank I have a very good strike record.
At the end, Mr and Miss TV was not publicised that much, so it did not harm me at all despite being out so early,” he adds.
