Post the success of Race, director duo Abbas and Mastan talks about the next films in line

Race has done a business of close to Rs 60 crores flat but that hasn’t changed the way director duo of Abbas-Mustan conduct themselves. Still being their humble self inspite of delivering the biggest money spinner of their two-decade-old career, Abbas-Mustan are now busy in getting their production plans for the next film in place.

“Currently we are concentrating on the films with Rumi Jaffrey and Rohit Jugraj. First to come on floors would be Rumi’s film,” informs Abbas.

What is the film all about? “Honestly, Rumi’s subject belongs to the kind that has never been seen before in a Hindi film. It is not just a family film; instead the script has got various ingredients to it which bring on a unique flavor,” continues the film maker.

While the cast of Rumi’s film is expected to be finalised by this May, another film which is making news is the one to be directed by Rohit Jugraj. Some reports indicated that Rohit is adapting the Hollywood hit Charlie’s Angels.

“Absolutely untrue,” says an amused looking Abbas, “I don’t know how and from where do such rumors originate. Rohit’s film has nothing to do with Charlie’s Angels. Yet again, the film boasts of a brilliant plot and seeing Rohit’s potential in Superstar makes us firmly believe that he is one young film maker to watch out for.”

Meanwhile the director duo continues to work on the script of their next film. “While we are busy with our production plans, we are also working on the script of out next directorial venture. It will be sometime before we get back behind the camera,” they end.
