What's the first thing that comes to mind if we say that Pandit Jasraj, Shubha Mudgal, Kailash Kher and Adnan Sami have given the playback for a film? You would probably think that the movie would be an offbeat one.

But the fact is that these talented musicians are a part of Vikram Bhatt’s commercial ghost film 1920. Vikram says he associated with these stalwarts because he wanted his film’s music to stand out. “They are part of the surprise element,” says the director.

“Who would ever think that someone like Pandit Jasraj would sing for a Bollywood movie? For that matter even a Shubha Mudgal for a ghost film? But I wanted my film to have the best music and the best vocals. So Adnan Sami is the music director of my film and apart from these names Kailash Kher is also singing in 1920.”

Vikram added, “Pandit Jasraj has even shot a video with us. That will be used for the film’s promotion.

We are thrilled to have someone like him for our venture. He’s also excited to be a part of the project. Shooting a video for a commercial film was certainly a different experience for him.”

1920, an out-and-out thriller, is a period piece that casts two untested people Rajneesh Duggal and Ada Sharma in the lead. Adnan’s association as the music composer for his film has also left Vikram very excited. “He is a talented musician. The music of my film will be classic—a collector’s item.”
