Excited over receiving such a prestigious award by the CM himself, Vipul says, “It feels special to receive award from a reputed institute like Free Press Journal (the second oldest journal after TOI) which had organized this award. Moreover, it gives me a new high for being chosen amongst the other contemporaries which have churned about some fantastic films.

On asking that despite having made three good films in a short span of time since 2002, he has never been chosen in the mainstream category awards, Vipul says, “Unfortunately, I have not been able to convince the jury of the mainstream award functions with my films. However, hopefully, sooner or later I shall make it there as well.”

Shah is engrossed with the last schedule of Singh is Kinng at Egypt which is expected to release on August 8. He is the producer of the film while its directed by Anees Bazmee. Soon after the completion, he will start off with his directorial venture London Dreams.
