New Delhi: Indian film Mahek has been nominated for the best feature film award at the ongoing 5th Syracuse International Film Festival in New York.
The film directed by debutant K Kanade, a product of the Film and Television Training Institute of India, is about a little girl's journey towards self realisation. It looks at the world through the imaginative eyes of children and examines their rights.
Earlier, Mehak, produced by Children's Film Society of India, was nominated for best film award eight times at different international festivals in the last few months.
