Paresh, Randeep, Neetu in Khusarprasad Ka Bhoot
Tuesday, April 29, 2008 13:48 [IST]
After raising quite some laughs with their comic timing in One Two Three, Paresh Rawal and Neetu Chandra are coming together again for a laugh riot. The film has an interesting title Khusarprasad Ka Bhoot and it comes from the house of Red Ice Films Production.

Confirms Robby Grewal, one of the producers of Red Ice Films Production, "Yes, Paresh Rawal and Neetu Chandra have been signed for the film and the shooting is currently on in full swing at Bhopal. We like the title Khusarprasad Ka Bhoot but at the moment it is a working title. It may go through a change eventually though we are yet to take a call."

Well, the film's title does sound interesting. So is it yet another comic outing in the offering, as has been the trend for last two years? Says Robby after a pause, "Hmmm, I won't call it as a comedy-comedy per se. It is more in the genre of a black comedy. Actually let me call it as a social satire." A social satire? What exactly does he mean here and which social satire is the running theme of Khusarprasad Ka Bhoot?

Refusing to let known much about the plot, Robby replies with a smile, "I should not be talking much about the film's plot here but I can assure that it is a subject which is pretty much identifiable. We are trying to tell a tale in a light hearted manner and are happy to have actors like Paresh Rawal, Randeep Hooda, Neetu Chandra, Govind Namdeo amongst others on board."

Why have the film makers opted for the city of Bhopal? Says Robby promptly, "We wanted to get the small town milieu since it goes perfectly well for the film's setting. Even though it's sweltering heat here, the crew is enjoying themselves getting the shoot in place since not much has been explored of the city in Hindi cinema. It is a beautiful place to work in."

Neetu Chandra complains in mock frustration though. She says, "Here I am getting all heated up in temperature which never refuses to go below 40 degrees. Ask me how it feels to be running up and down the hills in a summer which is yet to peak. I am surely gonna get all burnt up, courtesy this film."
