Con man refuses to apologise to Cruise, Travolta
Monday, April 21, 2008 14:27 [IST]

London: Con man Wayne Scott has refused to apologise to actors Tom Cruise and John Travolta for telling them he was the grieving father of the late actor Heath Ledger.

The 35-year-old, who recently admitted guilt for posing as wrestling star The Rock to get tickets from football clubs Everton and Manchester United, said he could not remember the Ledger stunt, thesun.co.uk reports.

Scott had reportedly called up Travolta and Cruise two months ago, just days after Ledger died. He tricked Cruise into comforting him and made Travolta pay for an airfare to New York.

Scott, who has had more than 40 convictions for deception, said: "I can't talk about the Heath Ledger thing. I don't remember doing it. It may not have been me. I'm not apologising for something I can't remember doing."

Scott apparently also tricked football coach Sir Alex Ferguson into writing a letter to a 'dying' son. He added, "I am genuinely sorry for that."
