If Kareena Kapoor is touted as the new diet queen, beau Saif Ali Khan is not lagging behind either. To get a lean look for a special song in Tashan with Kareena, Saif went hungry for days, even though he was on a holiday!

Saif revealed, “I always go on a holiday during Christmas and New Year. Adi (Chopra, producer) knows about this. He also knows that during this holiday I eat, drink and make merry and put on a lot of weight. Last year I was planning to go to Hong Kong. Adi had planned to shoot the passionate dance number Dil Haara with me and Kareena in Greece, after I returned. So he warned me, ‘If you are going to be partying away during your holiday, you will come back looking like a papa. If that happens, I will have to shoot the song in Mumbai. I will really be disappointed’.”

Saif added, “Now, I didn’t want to disappoint Adi. So I starved for the greater part of my trip to Hongkong. I was quite happy with myself for actually losing weight during this trip. I don’t have a six-pack yet, but it’s not bad. Adi and others were happy to see my lean look because they are used to looking at the fat me. They shot the song on this beautiful Greek island called Milos, which has underwater caves. But it was in the middle of winter and was freezing cold (the temperature was -4 degrees centigrade at that point of time). It was torturous.” The song was shot with 40 Greek dancers.
